The SOCO Project prioritizes the use of digital technologies and innovations to improve access to infrastructure, services and economic opportunities in the target communities.
The project is contributing to the prevention of conflict spillover from the Sahelian countries by improving the social and economic resilience of the targeted Northern Regions in the Gulf of Guinea countries (Ghana Benin, Côte d’Ivoire, and Togo) .
In Ghana, the SOCO Project is being implemented in six (6) regions in the northern parts of Ghana – namely the Northern, Upper East, Upper West, North East, Savannah and Oti Regions. Forty-eight (48) MMDAs are benefitting from the project.
Signing of contract agreement on infrastructure project on Gulf of Guinea Northern Regions Social Cohesion (SOCO) Project undertaken on 14th November 2023 in the office of the District Chief Executive. The District Chief Executive urged the contractors to produce quality work and provide a work schedule to enable the District Works Engineer and the monitoring team of the Assembly to effectively monitor the projects.
